The decision for early learning is one of first major decisions a family makes for their child. Kiddiegarten School respects the significance of this milestone. We would like to take this time to explain our philosophy and perspective so you can make an informed decision about your child‘s early learning. Kiddiegarten School of Maple Grove is committed to providing a safe and nurturing early education that focuses on exceeding the expectations of families while continually benchmarking best practices in early childhood.
In 2016, Minnesota‘s Department of Human Services found that 2 out of 3 Minnesota children attend an early learning program, yet the number of licensed programs continues to decrease. Since 2012, the number of the state‘s early learning programs has declined by 18%. Of the population of Minnesota children under five, over 310,000 children are without access to an early learning program. Current child development research illustrates that in the first five years of life, 90% of the brain develops. Therefore, we feel that early childhood education professionals have a social responsibility to commit to giving children the best start possible.

We believe that children have unlimited potential and need much more than basic child care during those first five years. They have absorbent minds that develop best when senses are engaged and learning is active. This philosophy aligns with a child‘s innate ability to discover and explore. Why choose Kiddiegarten School for your child‘s early education?
- Our Kiddiegarten‘s Montessori+Plus® curriculum supports the individual achievement of children with the best of classical Montessori principles and research-based enrichments that prepare children for success in the 21st century society they will grow up in. Our curriculum aligns with state standards for early childhood education and includes a comprehensive, progressive assessment profile that is the outcome of collaboration between school and family and is tailored for your child‘s unique learning journey and successful transition to grade school.
- Students should have choices to work independently alongside their peers or cooperatively with others to develop essential skills that contribute to critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
- A child-centered environment encourages children to learn respect, responsibility, self-regulation, initiative and an effective level of social and emotional intelligence to be successful students when they transition to kindergarten.
- Our students have multiple opportunities to garden, explore, and develop large motor skills on the spacious school grounds.
- We are pleased to offer a multipurpose space that allows for large group art, music and movement experiences so that children have diverse learning opportunities.
- We feel that a child‘s school should have all the elements of comfort and safety as their home, as they spend a great deal of time within our space. We recognize that the family is the child‘s first teacher but believe that the learning environment and the faculty also play a major role in a child‘s education.
- We believe that partnering with family ensures the best outcomes for children; therefore we offer multiple opportunities to meet with faculty and teachers from the first tour onward. Families are invited to attend and participate in meetings, conferences, parent events and take-home activities. We know that this open communication has extraordinary benefits for children. We look forward to getting to know your family.
